Last month, I purchased a container of Alvas Yogurt from Giant. Upon returning home, which was only a 15-minute journey, I eagerly opened the tub to give it a try, only to discover the presence of mold inside. I returned to Giant the next day to search for the Store Manager, but she/he was nowhere around. The staff tried calling her but she couldn’t be reached. So I left a message to return my call. Of course, I did not get a call back. Certain foods are just not fresh there. I believe it is the refrigeration.

Nicely and conveniently located near the Marine Terrace food centre. It sells most of the groceries that you may need.
But if you want fresh veggies and packed meats, it's best to get it early.
Hope they improve on the chilled refrigerator which is always leaking.
But overall...the staff are friendly and helpful.
Giant Express is the local place. Not just a shop. Around is a wet market, Marine Parade Town Council and something very interesting. A place where people never sitting because the local elder man play games. This is their place!
Good place and have many food
Always short of basic groceries. Milk to veggies , cheese to fruits . Every time i go there to buy , there is always something which is out of stock😖. Please make at least the basic dairy products and vegetables n fruits available …
Very tight and squeezy store. You often have to squeeze with other customers and staff when browsing items. Seems to be severely understaffed as well. There is often only one cashier attending to customers resulting in extremely long queues even during non-peak hours.
Is poorly managed. Staff are only interested in collecting money at the cashier! The meat section, vegetables and fruits sections are quite messy. There is no one to constantly rearrange, pack or discard the food. Is always shorthanded (I presume). Furthermore, is mostly patronize by elderly, slightly handicapped people. And is quite crowded at most time...
